Our Gender Pay Gap, Ethnicity Pay Gap and ED&I Reports
We’re nationally recognised as a leading inclusive employer. This is a proud acknowledgment of our ongoing work to ensure our people have the opportunities they need to thrive, no matter what their background. As part of that commitment, on an annual basis we publish our Gender Pay Gap, Ethnicity Pay Gap and ED&I Reports. As a leading provider of affordable housing, giving back is at our core.
We’re proud to have partnered with Acorns, a local children’s hospice, as our Charity of the Year for 2023/24. Amazingly, together, we raised almost £25,000!
Each year, our colleagues choose an inspiring charity for us to support. We’re pleased to be working with the charity Mind in 2024/25, who work to make mental health an everyday priority and offer support to those who need it.
Sustainability is key for us, across our homes, neighbourhoods and offices. Here are a few of the things we’re doing to help us reduce our carbon footprint:
Smart technology
We use the latest smart technology sensors to analyse the conditions in our homes and understand how we can use modern, sustainable technology to make them more efficient and comfortable places to live.
Greener offices
We have solar panels across all 3 of our offices to make sure we’re using as much renewable energy as possible. Our total peak solar capacity is over 70 kW. Enough to power around 70 homes.
Protecting our neighbourhoods
We’re making our estates cleaner and greener places to live, through community clean-up events and biodiversity initiatives in our communal gardens.
Electric vehicles
We’ve started to make the transition over to electric vehicles for our in-house maintenance team. We are increasing the number of electric vehicles in our fleet, with the aim of being 100% electric by 2035.
Homes of the future
We’re building homes with the future in mind. We have whole developments, such as Project 80, which run with 80% less carbon than today’s homes. They use the latest, greenest technology to make sure our homes are running as efficiently as possible.
Educating our tenants
We’re making sure our tenants who live in homes with new technologies are properly informed on how to use the technology most efficiently, to reduce energy consumption and lower costs.
Green economy
Sustainability is at the forefront of how we talk to our investors. We've been able to link our sustainability targets to how we borrow money, ensuring that we spend sustainably.
