  • Final interview - meet with our managers to discuss your motivation to join us

Assessments and the process

  • Bring your CV to life

This is your chance to tell us about you, your motivations for joining us and why you want to work for Midland Heart.

We will ask for either a short video or a written submission.

    Video Interview

This gives you the chance to bring your application to life and show us more about who you are. You’ll record answers to a few pre-recorded questions, at a time that suits you.

We’re not looking for perfection, we’re looking for genuine, thoughtful responses that show your personality and potential.

Tip: Find a quiet spot, check your camera and sound, and take a moment to think before you answer.

    Assessment Centre

Our assessment centres are held in group format and give us an opportunity to see how you work alongside others.

The specific tasks will depend on the role, but you’ll take part in problem-solving activities with other candidates, where we’ll look at your communication, teamwork and approach to the challenges.

Tip: Focus on contributing - listen to others, share your ideas clearly, and help the group to move forward.

  • Final Interview

At our final interview you will be asked some questions about you and why you wish to join us. The questions we ask will be designed around the key elements of the role you applied for – so make sure you have prepared some examples that show you at your best

Tip: Have a read of the job advert and understand what we are looking for. Provide some examples that show your personality and potential.

Presentation (for Graduates and Degree Apprentices only)

As part of the final interview, you may be asked to complete a presentation. We’ll give you the information and guidance on what we expect, and some time to prepare your presentation. Remember, confidence is key!

Tip: Focus on delivering your ideas clearly and confidently. Try to engage your audience and maintain eye contact – we’re interested in how you communicate your thinking as much as the final answer.
